Petition - EXIT SPIRIT ENERGY

Via the Stadtwerke München GmbH (SWM), the City of Munich holds a 31% stake in Spirit Energy, a company that explores for oil and gas in the North Sea. We therefore demand from the city council: SWM out of fossil fuels!

Fossil Free, Fridays For Future and other organizations of the alliance published an additional background paper on December 8th, 2020, which explains in detail the need to exit Spirit Energy as soon as possible.

We demand to the city council: end SWM subsidies to fossil fuel industries!

Transition to sustainable energy

We ask the city of Munich to respect the citizens' decision to “Get out of the coal”. That means switching off the Munich coal-fired power plant as soon as possible and actively working to switch to 100% renewable energies for Munich.
